First Place - Youth Journalism International 2020 Contest: Multimedia News Story, Team Entry
Judges' Feedback: A complete package and great collaboration telling the story of how an effort to save music education has become a community tradition in the form of a festival. Good mix of reporting, photography and video.
First Place - Youth Journalism International 2020 Contest: Multimedia Feature Team
Best of SNO - Layton Greene's 'Tell Ya Story' strikes at the heart
Schools from across the nation use the SNO network to make their sites, and of the hundreds of articles submitted each day, SNO selects the best pieces of journalism from all schools and awards them Best of SNOs. The award is highly selective, given to about 10% of all articles submitted.
Recently, my review of Layton Greene's debut album, "Tell Ya Story," was awarded a Best of SNO and published on their website.

Best of SNO - Heritage Fair recognizes cultures at Carlmont
Multimedias that I have both organized and participated in have also won Best of SNOs. I organized "Heritage Fair recognizes cultures at Carlmont" and was in charge of putting all elements of the multimedia together.
Best of SNO - 2020 Super Tuesday
I helped write "2020 Super Tuesday: All you need to know to prepare for the Democratic primaries and 2020 presidential elections" together with a team of other writers.
Queer Time Podcast
First Place - Youth Journalism: Opinion, Team
Against multiple other submissions, Queer Time Podcast's "Season 2 Episode 3: Who am I?" won first place in Youth Journalism International's 2020 Contest for Opinion, Team.
Judges' Feedback: Queer Time’s episode on “Who am I?” added nuance to the concept of pigeonholing due to one’s gender or sexual identity preferences; often others’ labels work as the starting point for developing one’s identity. The podcast discussed this in an open and passionate way.
